Prem Tent Decorators

If you go to Lakshmi Nagar and look for the J and K Block, you will find Prem Tent Decorators at Shop No 52. It is a place filled with rolls of fabric, metal poles, and folded chairs. We spend a lot of our time loading and unloading trucks. The shop itself is mostly a storage space where we keep everything organized between jobs. Lakshmi Nagar is a crowded area, so moving big tent pieces through the narrow lanes can be a real challenge sometimes. We are usually out on site more than we are in the shop at Shop No 52. It’s a lot of physical labor, pulling ropes and securing canvas. I have been doing this for a long time, and my back definitely feels it. We don't have a flashy office or a receptionist. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just stop by the shop or call us while we are working at a site. The J and K Block has a lot of small businesses like ours. We just focus on getting the structures up safely and making sure everything is where it should be. It is honest work, and it keeps us busy throughout the wedding season. When it is quiet, we spend our time mending tears in the cloth or painting the poles. It is just a local business trying to keep things going in our corner of Delhi. We just stay busy with the poles and the cloth.
