Pradeep Tent & Light House

We run Pradeep Tent & Light House out of Lajpat Nagar 2, specifically Flat No K 58. It’s a bit different because we operate from here to help people set up for their events. When there’s a wedding or a big party nearby, we are the ones hauling the poles, the heavy fabric for the tents, and all the wiring for the lights. It’s physical work. We spend half our time loading and unloading the truck. The rest of the time we are up on ladders or tying knots. We’ve got all kinds of colorful cloth and strings of bulbs stored away. It’s a bit messy when we are in between jobs, with piles of stuff waiting to be cleaned or repaired. We aren't a big event planning company with fancy brochures. We are just local guys who know how to put up a sturdy tent that won't fall down if the wind picks up. We’ve been doing this in Lajpat Nagar for years and know most of the streets and shortcuts. People just call us up when they have a function. We show up, do the heavy lifting, and make sure the lights actually turn on. It’s honest work that makes the neighborhood look bright during festival times. Sometimes we work through the night to get everything ready for a morning ceremony. It is tiring but we like being part of the local celebrations.
