Pindi Tent House

If you walk through Geeta Colony and head towards 7/155, you will find us at Pindi Tent House. We have been part of this neighborhood for quite a while, helping out with whatever local gatherings are going on. Our shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a place where we keep our poles, curtains, and carpets stacked up. Most of our life is spent on the road or at different sites around the colony. We lug heavy iron frames and big rolls of colorful cloth to wherever someone is having a function. It is a lot of climbing up and down ladders and tying knots that have to hold tight. Every morning, we check our schedule to see who needs a small canopy for a prayer meeting or a larger setup for a party. The fabric gets dirty easily, so there is always someone cleaning or folding things back at the base. We don't use any fancy systems; we just write things down in a notebook and make sure we have enough hands for the day's work. Geeta Colony is a tight-knit place, so we often end up working for people we have known for years. It is not an easy job, especially when it rains and everything gets soaked, but we manage to get it done. We just keep the equipment ready and wait for the next person to knock on the door at 7/155 and ask for help.
