People usually find us here in Uttam Nagar, right on the Budh Bazar Road. We’ve been at C-3 in Vikas Nagar for a good while now. It gets really crowded on Wednesdays because of the market, and the noise from the street is something you just get used to after a few years. We handle all sorts of phone stuff and teleservices. My desk is usually covered in papers and old receipts, but that’s just how it goes when things are busy. It’s a small place, nothing fancy, just a room with a counter and some chairs for people to wait. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there talking to whoever is around until it comes back on. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down that keeps us going during the long afternoons. We aren't trying to do anything big or change the world, we just open up in the morning and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the fans make a bit of a clicking sound, and the paint is peeling a bit near the door, but it feels like home. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are because of the sign out front that’s started to fade a little from the sun. We spend most of our day answering calls or helping people with their connections. It’s just regular work for us, and we try to get through the pile of tasks before it gets dark.
