We spend most of our time helping people with their mobile connections and selling them chargers or earphones when they lose theirs. It’s a busy little spot. We have a small television in the corner that we keep on the news just to have some background noise. The counter is a bit scratched up from years of use, but it’s solid. Najafgarh feels a bit like a village sometimes because everyone seems to know everyone else. We get people stopping by just to say hello even if they don’t need anything. We’ve got a drawer full of SIM cards and memory cards that we sort through when things get slow. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it’s important for people to stay connected. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big sign, just a basic board that tells people we’re here. When the summer heat gets bad, we turn on the desert cooler and it helps a little. We just take things one customer at a time and try to keep the shop running as best as we can without making things too complicated for anyone.
