Paragon Awning

We are located in Gali No-1 in Rajgarh Colony over in Gandhi Nagar. Specifically, we're at 331/5a. We make the covers and awnings people put over their shop fronts or balconies to keep the sun and rain off. It involves a lot of heavy sewing machines and cutting big rolls of waterproof fabric. The floor is usually covered in scraps of material. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the shop when we have a big order to finish. We spend time measuring frames and making sure the fabric fits just right. Sometimes we go out to the site to see where it’s going. The Jheel area is always busy, so getting deliveries in and out can be a headache with the traffic. We’ve been at this for a while. It’s not a complicated business, just making sure the stitches are strong and the material holds up. We have different colors of cloth stacked up against the wall. We don't do much fancy stuff, just the standard awnings that people need for their houses or shops. It’s a living. We just work through the orders as they come in and try to get them done before the monsoon starts. That’s usually our busiest time because everyone remembers their old awning is leaking then. We have a few guys who help with the heavy lifting and the installation part. The machines are loud and the iron frames are heavy, so it’s hard work. We mostly just keep our heads down and sew.
