OM SAI Ram Tent & Light House

Started out years ago in Badarpur, and it’s always busy here in Gautampuri Phase 1. The shop is full of metal poles, folded tents, and boxes of fairy lights. During the wedding months, nobody gets much sleep at all. We spend most of our time loading the truck or untangling wires that got knotted up at the last function. The Jim Khana Club is nearby, so we see a lot of people passing by A-29 all day. Sometimes the heat makes the work slow, but the tents have to go up regardless of the weather. We keep everything in the back room and it’s a bit of a mess right now because three events just finished at once. You learn to find things even when it looks disorganized. The guys who work here have been around for a long time. We know which lights are prone to flickering and which fabrics need a good wash after a dusty night out in the wind. It’s just a regular local spot where we handle the heavy lifting so people can have their parties. It’s loud, it’s sweaty, and there’s always something that needs fixing or painting before the next weekend comes around. That’s just how it goes for us in this part of town. We don't have a big fancy office, just the space where the work gets done and the gear is kept.
