Octan Media Pvt. Ltd. operates out of C-154 in Jawahar Park. If you know the Devli Road area near Khanpur in New Delhi, you know it can be a bit of a maze. We’ve been here for a while, and the office has become a second home for most of us. It’s a busy street outside, with people constantly walking by and vendors shouting. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but not by much. We have a few rooms filled with equipment and desks where we handle our media projects. We aren't a giant company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who’ve known each other for years. We don't have a big human resources department or a corporate handbook. We just sort of figured things out as we went along. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which gives us a chance to go grab some street food nearby. We like being in this part of the city because it feels real. We don't try to look more successful than we are. We just do the work, deal with the clients, and try to keep our heads above water. It’s hard work sometimes, and we get tired like anyone else, but we’ve built something we’re okay with here. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything, just some chairs for whoever stops by to talk with us.
