New Rishi Tent House

New Rishi Tent House is based near the Delhi G P O area, at D 2-5. We provide tents, seating, and basic setups for different kinds of events and functions around the city. It’s a business that keeps us on our feet all day long. We have a lot of equipment like large canvas sheets, metal poles, and chairs that we have to transport to different locations. The work is mostly outdoors, so we are always checking the weather. When it’s the peak of summer or middle of winter, the job gets a bit tougher, but we’ve been doing this for long enough that we don’t mind it much. Our team is small, mostly just a few guys who have worked together for years. We don’t spend much time in the actual shop since we are usually out at a site setting things up or taking them down. The area near the GPO is quite central, which makes it easier for us to move around to different parts of Delhi. We don’t use any complicated systems; we just write things down in a ledger and make sure we show up on time. It’s a practical business without any frills. Sometimes we are setting up for a small religious gathering and other times it’s a bigger neighborhood party. We just take the work as it comes and try to do a decent job for the people who hire us. It keeps us going.
