Namra Communication

If you find yourself walking through Shaheen Bagh, you might have passed by our spot at E 199. Namra Communication has been sitting on this corner for a good while now. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for the counters and some shelves filled with whatever parts we happened to get in that week. People around here know us pretty well. Usually, it’s the same faces coming in to ask about a new connection or maybe complain that their internet is acting up again. We listen and try to figure it out. The shop stays open pretty late most nights because that’s when everyone is finally free to run their errands. It gets a bit chaotic sometimes with the bikes zooming past outside and people talking all at once. My chair has a bit of a squeak that I keep meaning to oil, but I always forget once the first customer walks in. We don’t spend much time on decorations or anything like that. We just focus on the phones and the bills. Sometimes the kids from the street pop their heads in to see what we're working on. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here in the heart of the community. We know the neighbors, we know which cables are prone to breaking, and we just handle it. It’s a practical way to spend the day, really. Nothing more to it than that. We just keep going, day after day, helping whoever walks in.
