If you know Dabri Chowk, you know how much noise there is from the traffic on Palam Road. Our shop is at B 120B, right where things get crowded in the afternoon. We have been here quite a few years now, watching the buses go by and the people rushing. It’s a small shop, mainly just a counter and some glass cases for the phones. We do a lot of recharges and fix small things like charging ports or broken buttons. People usually stop by while they are waiting for their bus or walking home from the station. It’s a handy spot for that. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We've got posters for different networks everywhere. It feels a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. Sometimes we run out of change, so we have to ask the neighbor shop for some coins. It’s just how things go. We keep the radio on for some background music, mostly old songs. It gets hot in the summer, but we have a small desert cooler that hums along. We don't do anything fancy. Just phones and help with connections. Most people just want their phone to work so they can call home. We understand that. We stay open pretty late because that's when most people have time to stop by after their shifts are over. It's just a regular neighborhood shop.
