Out here in Kamla Nagar, at F-76, things move pretty fast. Being near the university means we see a lot of students coming in. They usually need their phone screens fixed or they’re looking for a second-hand handset because they lost theirs at a party. The shop isn't very big, so it gets cramped when more than three people are standing inside. I spend a lot of time on the computer doing recharges or helping people sort out their SIM card issues. There’s always a stack of paperwork on the side from the new connections we set up. The walls are covered with posters for different data plans, though half of them are probably out of date by now. I try to keep the place organized, but with so many small parts and accessories, it’s a bit of a struggle. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and students talking loudly. Sometimes someone comes in just to ask for directions or to use the stapler. I don’t mind. It’s just part of being in a neighborhood like this. We’ve been at this location for a good while now, and the sign outside has faded a bit from the sun. It’s a simple setup—just me, a few shelves of phone covers, and a repair kit. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting, then a sudden rush where everyone wants something at once. We just handle it one person at a time without getting too stressed.
