Milap Tent House

We run Milap Tent House from our spot at Q-28 in Rajouri Garden. It’s a lot of physical work, moving heavy poles and folding up big sheets of fabric after an event is over. Our days usually start early when we load the trucks with everything needed for a setup. The neighborhood knows us well because we’ve been around for quite a bit. We keep all the stuff stored in the back, from the basic metal frames to the more colorful drapes people ask for. It’s not a glamorous job, especially when it’s raining or when the wind picks up while we’re trying to secure a structure. We spend a lot of time checking the ropes and making sure the stakes are driven in deep enough. Sometimes things get hectic during the wedding season, and we’re out late or up before dawn. When we aren't out on a site, we’re here at the shop checking the inventory for tears or dirt. Rajouri Garden is a busy area, so getting the trucks in and out of the narrow lanes can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We don't have a fancy office or anything. Most of our business happens over the phone or when people stop by the gate to see what we have available for their dates. It’s just straightforward work, providing shelter and space for whatever gatherings people are planning in the area.
