Meena Communications

We’ve been here at shop number 125 in New Lajpat Rai Market for a long time now. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how loud and busy it gets every single day. Our little spot is right in the middle of all that chaos. We mostly deal with mobile phones and all the small parts that go with them. Some days are just packed with people asking questions or looking for a specific cable. It’s not a big fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a counter, some stools, and lots of boxes stacked up. We open up in the morning when the shutters start going up all around us. The tea guy comes by around eleven. Most of our regulars are other shopkeepers or people who’ve been coming to this market since they were kids. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the crowd gets too much, but that’s just how it is in this part of Delhi. We don’t really do big ads. People just find us by walking past or someone tells them to come to Meena Communications. It’s a bit cramped inside, especially when we have a lot of stock arriving, but we manage just fine. We just try to get the work done and go home. There’s always someone stopping by to chat while they wait for their phone to get looked at. It feels more like a community than just a place of business most of the time.
