Media & Social Research Group

We are tucked away on Jaitpur Road in the Badarpur area. Specifically, we’re at I-331 A in Hari Nagar Extension. If you know Delhi, you know Badarpur can be a bit chaotic with the traffic and the crowds. It’s a very lived-in part of the city. Our office for the Media & Social Research Group is right in the thick of it. It’s not a polished research lab or anything like that. It’s just a set of rooms where we sit and look at data or talk about projects. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the street vendors outside shouting about vegetables or the horns of the cars on Jaitpur Road. It keeps us connected to the real world, which is probably good for research anyway. We have a lot of old books and papers stacked on the shelves. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. The fan in the main room makes a bit of a clicking sound that we’ve all learned to ignore. We don't have a big corporate logo on the wall or a reception desk. It’s just a place where people work hard and drink a lot of chai. Being in Hari Nagar Ext means we are part of the local fabric here. It’s dusty and noisy, but it’s home for the business. We focus on our tasks and try to ignore the heat when the power goes out.
