Manish Telicom

Manish Telicom is located at Shakurpur D-265. It’s a small place, mostly just a counter and some shelves for phone accessories. Much of our time goes into looking at screens and trying to figure out why someone’s phone isn't charging right. It’s tedious work sometimes, but it’s what we do. Shakurpur is a crowded neighborhood, so there’s always a lot of foot traffic. People pop in to get a quick recharge or buy a new screen guard because they dropped their phone again. A variety of chargers and cables are kept here since those seem to break the most. The shop isn't anything special to look at. Some posters on the walls and a few glass cases are all we have. Most of our day is spent talking to people about their data plans or fixing minor hardware issues. Sometimes the parts we need take a few days to arrive, and then we have to tell people to come back later. Being straight with everyone about what can be fixed and what’s just junk is important to us. It’s a simple living. We know many of the locals who live around the D-block area. It gets pretty loud outside with the bikes and cars, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve been here at D-265 for a while and haven't really felt the need to change much about how we run things. Just us and the phones, really. No big corporate goals here, just keeping the shop going and helping people get their phones working again.
