Mangla Telecom Centre

Mangla Telecom Centre is located at E-27 in Uttam Nagar. If you know Uttam Nagar, you know it’s always crowded and there’s never a dull moment on the street outside. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal with all sorts of things like phone repairs, screen guards, and those little memory cards that everyone used to need. Now it’s mostly people coming in because their charging port is loose or they want a new cover to hide the scratches on their phone. The shop is quite narrow, so if three customers come in at once, it feels very full. We have one old ceiling fan that makes a bit of noise, but it keeps us cool enough. I usually have a stack of newspapers on the counter to read during the slow hours in the mid-afternoon. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for our inventory. Most of it is just written down in a thick diary that I keep under the drawer. It’s a basic setup. We’ve been here for years, and we’ve seen the phones change from those old buttons to the big glass screens they have now. It’s interesting to see how much people rely on their devices. We just stay here, open our gates at ten, and wait for the first customer of the day. It’s steady work and it keeps us connected to the local community. We also help with utility bills sometimes.
