You can find us at Khan Market, right at number 28-A. Malik Shamiana House has been a part of this market for a very long time. Even though Khan Market has turned into a very posh and expensive place over the years, we still do things the traditional way. We provide the big tents, the canopies, and all the seating needed for local gatherings. Whether it is a small dinner at someone's house or a larger public event, the work stays the same for us. We have stacks of heavy fabric and thick wooden poles that have been through many wedding seasons. Dealing with the traffic and the parking around here is probably the biggest headache we face every day. Getting our delivery trucks into the narrow lanes is always a struggle. My guys and I are constantly on the move, dragging heavy bundles of cloth from the storage area out to the site. We do not have any fancy marketing or a website to show off. Most of our business comes from families who have known my father or grandfather for decades. We have seen children grow up, get married, and then they come back to us to help with their own celebrations. It is a lot of physical labor, especially when the sun is out, but we just focus on getting the setup finished on time. The fabric might be a little faded, but it is strong and it does the job.
