Kutub Khana Aziza

Kutub Khana Aziza is right there in Urdu Bazar, at Plot No 4174. If you walk towards Jama Masjid, you will find us easily. Urdu Bazar has a very long history with books, and we are proud to be a small part of that. Our shop is full of old and new titles, mostly in Urdu but some others too. The shelves are very high and filled to the brim. Sometimes it is hard to find a place to even put a cup of tea. We have a lot of students and scholars who come in to look for rare things. We spend a lot of time cleaning the books because the dust from the street is constant. The street outside is always full of food stalls and people talking loudly. Inside, it is a bit quieter, though you can still hear the buzz of the market. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights. It is just a plain shop front with a lot of character. We use old-fashioned methods for everything, from how we wrap the books in brown paper to how we write out the bills. It is a bit slow, but our customers don't seem to mind. They usually stay for a bit to chat about what they are reading. It is a nice way to spend the day, surrounded by books and people who care about them.
