Educational Publishing House

Down in Lal Kuan, there’s a small alley called Gali Vakeel Wali in Kucha Pandit, and that’s where you’ll find us at Plot No.3191. It’s a very old part of the city, and the streets are so narrow that sometimes it’s hard to even walk through with a box of books. Educational Publishing House has been operating from this spot for a long time. Our building is old, with high ceilings and walls that have seen many coats of paint. We spend our days surrounded by reams of paper and the smell of ink. We put together textbooks and other learning materials for students. It’s a noisy area with all the rickshaws and vendors shouting outside, but once you step inside our gate, it gets a bit quieter. We have a small team of people who handle the layout and the proofreading. Most of our work is done on old wooden tables that have been here since the start. It's not a modern office by any means, but it works for what we do. We ship books out to schools all over, and sometimes the logistics of getting a truck near our Gali is a real headache. But we manage somehow. It’s just what we do every day, year after year, in this little corner of the old city.
