Kohli & Sons

Kohli & Sons is our family business situated on Tilak Nagar Guruwara Road. We have been here for a long time, and the shop has seen many changes on this street over the decades. Guruwara Road is always full of people and vehicles, so there is a constant hum of activity outside our door. Our shop is a simple place with old wooden shelves and a counter that has been there since my father's time. We sell various things, mostly stuff people need for their homes. It is not a modern store with air conditioning or bright neon signs. We just have a few fans that rattle a bit when they are on full speed. I spend a lot of time talking to the regular customers who have been coming to Kohli & Sons for years. Sometimes we just talk about the weather or how the neighborhood is changing so fast. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit worn out in the center from all the walking. We do not have a big team of workers, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you need something and do not see it on the shelf, you just have to ask and we will find it in the back. It is a straightforward way of doing business. We open the doors every morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. That is how we do things.
