We opened Khan Communication over at Seemapuri F 226 quite a few years back now. It’s a small place, nothing fancy to look at, but it gets the job done for the most part. Mostly we just deal with phones all day long. People come in with broken screens or they say their charging ports aren't working right. You see a lot of the same faces from around the block every single day. I usually sit near the front counter while my brother handles the repairs in the back corner where the light is better. Sometimes the internet is slow and customers have to wait a bit longer for their recharges to go through. We’ve got some basic accessories hanging on the walls too, like those cheap earphones and plastic covers that everyone seems to need. The shop stays open pretty late most nights because that is when people get off work and realize their phone is acting up. It gets a bit dusty being right on the street like this, so I spend a fair amount of time wiping down the glass cases with an old cloth. We don’t really do much advertising, word of mouth around Seemapuri usually keeps us busy enough. There’s a tea stall right next door, so there’s always someone popping in for a chat while they wait for their SIM card to get activated. It's just a regular local shop where we try to fix what’s broken.
