Kamal Tents & Decorators

Over at Mansrover Garden, specifically at FB-128, that’s where you’ll find Kamal Tents & Decorators. We’ve been doing this for a long time. The shop itself is usually filled with samples of different cloths and maybe some artificial flowers we use for the stages. It’s a busy neighborhood and we’re right in the middle of it. We don’t just do the tents; we also try to make the place look a bit better with the decorations. It’s a lot of manual labor, reaching high places to hang drapes and making sure the lighting doesn’t trip the breakers. We have a lot of different colored fabrics, though the white and red ones are what people usually want. The storage area is always a bit of a puzzle because we have so many poles and wooden boards. Sometimes we’re working all night to get a wedding set up before the sun comes up. It’s exhausting but that’s the business. We don’t have a flashy sales team or anything like that. Most people just walk in because they saw our work at a cousin's party or down the street. We keep it simple and honest. If we don’t have enough chairs for a certain date, we just say so. It’s better than promising something we can’t deliver. We’re just local people helping other local people get their celebrations sorted out. We just want to make sure the drapes are straight.
