Kamal Tent & Light House

Our spot at Kamal Tent & Light House is right in the middle of the chaos at Najafgarh Choudhry Mange Ram Market 32. If you walk past, you will see us surrounded by stacks of folded fabric and long metal poles. There is usually a lot of dust because of all the moving around we do. We spend a lot of time untangling wires and checking bulbs to make sure they still work. The market gets very crowded on weekends so it is hard to move the bigger stuff then. We usually just sit on the stools outside when it is quiet and watch people go by. It is a messy business with all the heavy lifting and the grease. We have got some old fans that rattle a lot but they keep us cool enough when we are sorting through the inventory. The shelves are mostly full of different kinds of lights and connectors. Sometimes we have to spend hours just cleaning the decorative pieces after they come back from a job. It is not a clean or quiet place to work. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the metal pipes and the storage bins. We do not have a fancy office or any place to sit comfortably. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized in the small space we have got here in Najafgarh.
