Kalra Telecom Centre

The shop has been here in Giri Nagar for quite a while now. We mostly deal with mobile phones and all the little things that come with them. You can find us over at Tilak Khand, near Kalkaji 18. It gets pretty busy around here in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work. Most of the day is just me and a couple of other guys handling recharges or fixing screens that people cracked by mistake. Sometimes people come in just to ask how to use a new app or why their battery is dying so fast. We try to help out with those small things too. The space isn't very big, so it gets a bit crowded if more than four people are inside at once. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some shops closed down and new ones opened up, but we’re still sitting in the same spot. It’s a lot of work keeping up with all the different phone models that come out every month. One day it’s one brand and the next day everyone wants something else. We just keep the shelves stocked with whatever basics people might need like chargers or headphones. It's a simple setup really. We open up in the morning, clean the glass counters, and wait for the first customer. There's always some noise from the street outside but you get used to it after a few weeks of working here.
