About Jian Tent House & Decorators – Event & Planning in Delhi
Running Jian Tent House & Decorators out of Madhu Vihar A 32 keeps us busy all year round. It is a lot of heavy lifting, to be honest. We have these big stacks of iron poles and bundles of cloth tucked away in the back. When a wedding comes up nearby, the work starts early. We load everything onto the small trucks and hope the traffic isn't too bad. The carpets get dusty after one use, so we spend a lot of time just cleaning things and folding them back up. In this part of Madhu Vihar, everyone knows everyone, so we end up doing tents for birthdays, neighborhood prayers, and big parties. It’s not a glamorous job. My hands are usually rough from tying ropes and moving those heavy wooden stages. We have some plastic chairs that have seen better days, but they still work fine for a crowd. The storage space is a bit cramped, so things are piled up high. If you walk past A 32, you’ll probably see us sorting through strings of lights or checking if the tent fabric has any tears. It’s mostly just about getting the poles to stand straight and making sure the colors don't look too faded under the sun. We just do the work and move on to the next one. Sometimes the rain catches us while we are setting up, and everything gets a bit messy, but that is part of the job and we just deal with it.
