I sit in the shop at Janakpuri 40 Feet Road 1 2/E almost every day from morning until late evening. The road outside is always loud with bikes and people shouting, which is normal for this part of Janakpuri. Being on 40 Feet Road means there is never a quiet moment. The shop itself is small, mostly filled with glass counters and boxes of phone accessories and chargers. I spend a lot of time helping people with their mobile recharges or trying to figure out why their screens aren't working right. It’s not a complicated business but it takes a lot of patience. Sometimes the internet goes slow and then I have to explain that to the customers who are in a hurry. I keep a small fan behind the counter, but it doesn't do much when the shop gets crowded. There are always stacks of SIM card papers and old receipts lying around near the register. It’s a local spot where people from the nearby blocks stop by. I don't have a big team or anything, just me and occasionally a helper if things get too busy. We just try to get the jobs done as they come in. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting for the next person to walk through the door with a broken phone or a question about a plan.
