Jai Maa Sati Telecom is located at Shop No 685 on Shivaji Road, right in the heart of Azad Market near Ajmeri Gate. If you know the area, you know how packed it gets. Our shop is just one small part of that massive rush. We deal with all sorts of phone stuff, from cables to repairs. The space is tight, and we have boxes stacked up in the corners because there’s never enough room for everything. Shivaji Road is always moving, so we see a lot of different faces every single day. Some people are just passing through from the station, while others have been living in Azad Market for decades. We open up pretty early to beat the main heat of the day. The light inside isn’t the brightest, but we know where everything is. We don't use any fancy systems to track things; we just remember which shelf has what. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the door to get some light. It’s an honest living. We don't make a big deal out of anything. If a phone can be fixed, we tell them. If it’s junk, we say that too. Being near Ajmeri Gate means there’s never a dull moment. We just keep our heads down and work through the day until it’s time to pull the shutter down. It can get pretty dusty with the traffic, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass counters and organizing the small parts we use.
