Jagriti Events

Being in Jwalahedi Market at Paschim Vihar is always a bit of a chaotic experience. Our shop, Jagriti Events, is at number 33. The market is always crowded with people looking for clothes or food, and we are right in the middle of it. We spend our days surrounded by rolls of fabric, artificial flowers, and sketches for stage setups. It’s a bit messy in here because there is always something being packed or unpacked for an event. We handle all sorts of gatherings, from small birthdays to bigger weddings in the area. Often, we are on the phone for hours trying to coordinate with decorators or light men. It’s not a glamorous job like people think. There is a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff around in the heat. The shop at number 33 is where we meet people to talk about their plans. We have a couple of old chairs and a table covered in notebooks where we scribble down dates and prices. Sometimes things go wrong, like a delivery being late or the weather changing, but we just deal with it as it comes. Paschim Vihar is a lively place to work, and the energy of the market keeps us going even when we are exhausted. We just focus on getting the decorations right for the next booking.
