If you go to Tughlakabad Extension and look for number 673, you’ll find Jagdish Telecom. This part of Tughlakabad is always crowded with people and scooters. Our shop is just a basic room where we do our daily business. We’ve been at 673 for quite some time now. The street can be a bit messy, especially when it rains and the water pools up, but we just put some bricks down and keep going. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just us and the phones. We have some posters on the wall that have been there since we opened. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning; we just leave the door open and let the air circulate. The address 673 is our little piece of the neighborhood. We see the same people every day going to work or coming home from the market. We spend our time checking phones or talking to customers about what they need. Sometimes we just sit and watch the traffic go by when it’s slow. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don’t have a big mission or anything; we just want to keep the shop running and make sure we’re here when people need us. By the time evening rolls around, the street gets even busier, and that’s usually when we have the most work to do at Jagdish Telecom.
