Our place is located out by Bhagwani Nursery on Mandi Road in the Mehrauli area of Jaunpur. It’s a bit of a drive if you aren’t from around here, but it’s a much quieter spot compared to the busy city center. We deal with decor items and various things for houses and offices. The warehouse is usually full of samples and rolls of materials that we’ve collected over the months. It isn't always the most organized looking place, but we have a system that works for us, even if it looks messy to an outsider. My uncle started this business, and now a few of us keep it running day to day. We spend a lot of our time looking at different textures and colors, trying to figure out what actually fits where. Sometimes customers come in with a very specific idea, and other times they have no clue what they want at all. We just show them what’s on the racks and let them take their time. There’s no pressure here. We drink a lot of tea while we talk through the options. The building itself is older, and the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we keep the stock covered up well with plastic. Dealing with home stuff means you have to be patient with people. Trends change fast, but we mostly just keep the classics that we know people actually like. We’re usually here from morning until the sun starts to go down.
