We operate out of Aligarh, specifically on Marris Road which is one of the better-known spots in town. The office is located at Mr. Ashok Nagpal’s place in Hari Om Nagar. It is not your typical corporate setup with glass doors and a receptionist. It feels more like a home that happens to have a lot of work going on inside. We represent Infomedia India Ltd here. Most of our day involves dealing with local business listings and information services. Aligarh can be quite a slow-paced city compared to Delhi, but Marris Road stays busy. We have a few desks squeezed into the room and the walls are lined with directories and yellow pages from years ago. It gets pretty dusty because of the road construction that never seems to end. We do not have a big sign outside, so people usually look for the Hari Om Nagar landmark. Ashok is usually around to handle the main stuff. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the locals who drop by for information. The power supply in UP can be a bit tricky, so we have learned to save our work on the computers every ten minutes. It is a small, practical office where we just get on with the job of connecting people with the businesses they are looking for. It is not flashy, but it has been our base for a long time now.
