If you ever find yourself in Satya Niketan, New Delhi, you might walk past our office at number 11 on the 2nd floor. It’s a busy area because of all the students and the market nearby, so there is always a lot of noise and people around. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a workout every time we come in. The office is pretty packed with desks and filing cabinets. We do a lot of information-related work here, mostly focusing on directories and media data. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business because the space is tight. We’ve got some old posters on the walls and a water cooler that makes a loud sound every few minutes. New Delhi is a hot place in the summer, so our AC is always running full blast, though it struggles sometimes. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just the name on the door. Most of our day is spent talking to people or typing up records. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t do anything too complicated, just making sure the information we handle is clear and useful. The staff here has been around for years, so we’re more like a small family than a bunch of coworkers. We just get on with it and try to stay productive in the middle of the city chaos.
