Our place, Infinity Advertising Services Pvt. Ltd., is right in Salt Lake at AC-134, Sector 1. If you know Kolkata, you know Salt Lake is a bit more organized than the rest of the city, but it still has its quirks. We’re in a typical building there, nothing flashy. We spend our days dealing with all sorts of advertising requests. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with printers and designers. Sometimes a client calls at the last minute wanting a change, and we have to scramble. The humidity in the summer makes the office feel a bit heavy, but the AC works most of the time. We aren’t a big agency with hundreds of people. It’s just a handful of us who know how to get the job done. We have samples of old ads lying around everywhere. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. People think advertising is all about big ideas, but for us, it’s mostly about making sure the colors look right and the deadlines are met. We walk to the local market for snacks in the afternoon. It’s a decent life here in Sector 1. We don’t use fancy jargon when we talk to people. We just tell them what’s possible and what isn’t.
