We operate Idg Media Pvt Ltd out of a residential flat, specifically Flat No 135-B in Block No 37 of the Ipgcl Colony. It’s tucked away in Vidyut Vihar, right near the Ring Road in New Delhi. Working out of a colony like this is different from being in a high-rise office building. It’s quieter in some ways, but you still hear the city hum from the Ring Road. Our office setup is basically a few rooms converted into a workspace. It’s got a very lived-in feel, with tea mugs on the desks and plenty of paper everywhere. We handle media tasks all day, mostly staring at screens and talking through projects. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us in our normal clothes, focused on whatever deadline is hitting next. It’s an honest way to work, and being in a Type-IV colony flat means we have a bit of a kitchen and a spot to sit when we need a break from the computers. We aren't trying to pretend we’re some massive international agency. We’re just a small group of people doing media work from a flat in Delhi. It’s practical and it works for us. The commute isn't too bad for those of us living nearby, and we’ve gotten to know the colony guards and the local shopkeepers over time. We just keep things simple.
