You’ll find Ht Media Ltd over in South Patel Nagar, specifically at 3107/12 on Street No. 5. This part of New Delhi is always cramped and noisy, but it has a lot of character. Our building is one of many in these narrow streets. Finding a place to park a car is almost impossible, so most of us just take the metro or use a scooter. The office inside is a bit of a maze with stacks of paper and old files everywhere. We are right in the middle of the Delhi bustle, so there’s always the sound of horns and people shouting outside. It’s a busy place because media work never really stops. We spend our time checking facts, writing up reports, and making sure the prints are ready. It’s not like the movies with big newsrooms and people running around with cigars. It’s mostly just us sitting at desks, drinking way too much tea, and trying to meet deadlines that always feel like they are five minutes away. The air conditioner hums constantly to battle the Delhi heat. We’ve been here for a long time, and the neighborhood knows us. There’s a small shop downstairs where we get our stationery and sometimes a quick snack. It’s a grind, for sure, but there is something about the energy of Patel Nagar that keeps you going even when you’re tired of the long commute.
