Himgiri Mobile Shoppe

Lajpat Nagar is a busy area, but our corner at Old Double Storey D 55 is a little more settled. Himgiri Mobile Shoppe has been sitting here for a good while. We mostly deal with mobile phones, obviously, but we also sell a lot of small accessories like covers and screen guards. People around here in the IV block know us well. They bring their kids’ phones in when the screens crack. We have a small workbench in the back where we do the repairs. It’s usually messy with tiny screws and bits of glass. The shop stays open even when it’s quiet, just in case someone needs a quick recharge or a new SIM card. We don't have any flashy signs or loud music playing. It’s just a calm place where you can get your phone looked at without a lot of talking. We’ve seen the different models of phones come and go over the years. Some were better than others. We like being in this part of Lajpat Nagar because the neighbors are decent and look out for each other. It’s a small life, but we like it this way. Just running the shop and helping people stay connected to their families. We usually close up early on Sundays to spend time with our own families. The shop floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, but it's served us well enough for a long time.
