You can find Hiline at M-5 in the Connaught Place Market. Being in CP means there are always people walking past the windows, looking at the displays or just trying to find their way around the circles. Our shop is in one of those classic old buildings with the high ceilings and thick walls. It’s got a bit of that old Delhi character, even if the pipes sometimes act up. We spend our days tidying the shelves and talking to the people who wander in after their lunch at one of the nearby restaurants. It’s a bit different from the smaller markets because you get tourists and office workers as well as the regulars. We don’t have a massive team. Usually, it’s just two or three of us working at a time. We keep the place clean and try to make sure everything is where it should be. The noise from the traffic outside is a constant hum, but inside it’s a bit quieter. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the area. We just want to keep the shop running smoothly like it has been for years. Sometimes we stand near the door just to watch the crowd go by. It’s a busy life being in the center of the city, but we like the energy of the market. We stay open until the metro starts getting crowded for the evening rush. It is a long day but we enjoy the routine.
