Harvindra Watch & Cellphone

Down on Pankha Road in Nangal Raya, we have this small shop where we look at watches and phones all day. It’s Wz-1206, right in the thick of things near Janakpuri. It’s funny how people still bring in those old mechanical watches that need winding, while others are rushing in because they cracked their smartphone screen. We have these tiny screwdrivers and magnifying glasses that we use for hours. My eyes get tired sometimes from looking at the small parts. The shop isn't very big, so if three or four people come in at once, it feels crowded. We have shelves full of old watch cases and different types of mobile chargers. It’s often quite loud outside with the buses and cars going toward Janakpuri. We sit behind the glass counter and wait for the next person to walk in with a broken strap or a phone that won't charge. Sometimes we can fix things right away, other times they have to leave it with us for a few days. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. People just know us from passing by on the road. It’s a bit messy with wires and battery testers everywhere, but we know where everything is. It’s been our way of life for years, just tinkering with small electronics and keeping time for the neighborhood. It’s a quiet living in a loud part of town.
