If you know Karol Bagh, you know how crazy Gaffar Market can get. We are located inside Regent Mall at shop G-11 on Haridhan Road. It’s a small shop, like most of the spots in this market, but we pack it full of all kinds of accessories for phones and electronics. Every morning we roll up the shutter and start organizing the cases, chargers, and cables that arrived the day before. It’s a tight squeeze in here, especially when more than two or three people come in at once. Gaffar is the kind of place where people are always looking for a deal, so there is a lot of talking and haggling going on all day long. It can be pretty exhausting with the noise and the crowds outside, but we like the energy of the mall. We try to keep up with the new phone models that come out, which feels like it happens every week. Some days are slow and we just sit and chat with the other shop owners nearby, but other days we don’t even have time to eat lunch. The lighting in the mall is bright and the air conditioning sometimes struggles when it’s really hot outside. We aren’t doing anything fancy here, just selling basic stuff people need for their gadgets. It’s just a regular shop in a very busy part of Delhi, and we’re here most days trying to keep things organized. We just take it as it comes.
