Guru Teg Bahadur Tent & Light House

We have been running Guru Teg Bahadur Tent & Light House for a good while now from Shop Number 33 in Mehar Chand Market. If you know Lodhi Road, you know it gets quite busy around here with people always moving about. Our shop is right there near the main road. Most days we are just busy sorting out the tent poles or checking if the decorative lights are still working after the last job. It is not some fancy office with glass walls, just a regular shop where we keep our stuff. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside and we have to keep cleaning the furniture. We handle a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves. People come to us when they have a wedding or maybe just a small prayer meeting at home and need some shade or some extra bulbs. We just sit here on our chairs outside the shop when it is quiet and wait for the next person to walk in. The market has changed over the years but we are still in the same spot. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that, it is just us and a few workers who help with the loading. Lodhi Road has a certain vibe and we feel part of it after all these years. We just try to get the tents up on time and make sure the lights don't flicker too much during the function.
