Gurdeep Mehta Tent House

Gurdeep Mehta Tent House is at Harsh Vihar 55. We spend our days dealing with bamboo poles, heavy iron frames, and stacks of folded fabric. When a wedding or a function comes up in the neighborhood, the tempo picks up. We load the trucks early. Our hands are usually rough from handling the ropes and the canvas. It is not an easy job, especially when the sun is out and we have to set up a huge structure. We have been in Harsh Vihar for quite a while now. The storage area is often a bit messy with carpets and chairs piled up. People come to us when they have a family event or a small gathering at home. We just show them what we have in stock. There is no big office, just a desk where we keep our papers. We have seen many seasons change from this spot. Sometimes the fabric gets torn and we have to sit and stitch it back. Rain is our biggest enemy because everything gets heavy when wet. We don't use fancy software to track orders. It’s all in a diary. We know the local streets well because we are always moving stuff around. Life here is about getting the work done on time. It is physical work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We are just local people providing what is needed for a party.
