Guptajee Tent Service

We’ve been running Guptajee Tent Service from our spot in Nimri Colony, Ashok Vihar Phase IV for quite some time now. It’s a busy place, especially when wedding season starts hitting Delhi. Most days you’ll see our boys loading up the big bamboo poles and rolls of heavy fabric onto the back of the trucks at C-10. It is honest work, mostly just making sure the tents are clean and the ropes are strong enough for the wind. People around here know where to find us when they have a function at home or in the park nearby. We don’t do anything fancy with computers; mostly just keeping track of things in a register and making sure the chairs aren’t broken before they go out. Sometimes the traffic in Nimri Colony makes it hard to get the trucks out on time, but we manage somehow. The warehouse stays pretty packed with all sorts of decorations and lighting stuff. It gets dusty, but that’s just how it is with this kind of work. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years while we stayed right here in the same corner. If someone needs a small canopy for a puja or a big setup for a party, they just walk in and talk to us. We just focus on getting the stuff there and setting it up right so it doesn’t fall over. It’s a simple life running a tent business.
