Gupta Tent & Decorators

We are located at E-192 in the Shakti Nagar Extension area, near Shastri Nagar. Gupta Tent & Decorators has been a part of this locality for quite some time. The office is just a small room filled with catalogs of different flower arrangements and fabric samples. Most of our real work happens on-site at different houses or parks. We have a warehouse nearby where we keep the big stuff like stages and generators. Running a decoration business means you are always dealing with bits of ribbon and pieces of foam. It’s hard to keep the place perfectly clean. I usually sit in the office with a register to keep track of dates. My son handles the newer stuff like lighting and sound. We have a few old trucks that we use to transport the decorative items. The streets around Shakti Nagar are a bit tight, so driving the trucks can be a challenge. We mostly work with families who have been living here for generations. They come to us when there is a birth or a wedding in the family. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting heavy wooden planks and climbing ladders. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us because they saw our name on a gate somewhere. It’s a simple way to work and it keeps us busy.
