Gulati Telecom

Gulati Telecom is located at B-1157 in Shastri Nagar. It is one of those shops where you can find a bit of everything related to phones. I have been sitting at this same counter for years, watching the street outside change slowly. The shop is small, packed with boxes of headphones and charging cables. I try to keep the glass clean, but with all the traffic in Shastri Nagar, it is a losing battle. Most of my day is spent helping people who can't get their internet to work or need a new screen protector put on. I have a steady hand for that, which is good because those plastic films are very tricky to get right. It is a local place where people feel comfortable coming in to ask a simple question. I don't use any fancy computer systems for my inventory; I mostly just know what I have on the shelves by looking at them. Sometimes my friends drop by and we drink tea while the shop is quiet for a few minutes. Then suddenly, four people will walk in at once and it gets hectic. I like the buzz of the neighborhood. It is not a corporate store with uniforms and scripts. I just talk to people like I would talk to my neighbors. If a phone is too old to fix, I’ll tell the owner not to waste their money on it. That’s just how I do things here.
