Gopal Narayan & Sons

We have been operating Gopal Narayan & Sons out of P-26 in Connaught Place for a long time now. If you know the area at all, you know how those old white buildings with the big columns look. Our space has high ceilings and those thick walls that keep it a bit cooler, though we still keep the fans going constantly. We aren't a big modern firm with glass walls. It’s a family-run place, and you can see that in the way we have things set up. There are old wooden cabinets and heavy desks that have been here since my father’s time. We deal with a lot of paperwork and clients who have been coming to see us for decades. It’s not a fast-paced environment; we take our time with things and usually offer anyone who walks in a glass of water or some hot tea. Sometimes the noise from the street gets very loud, especially with all the tourists and shoppers out in CP, but inside it’s usually just the sound of pens on paper or the hum of an old computer. We don't have a marketing department. We just show up every morning, open the heavy doors, and get to work. Most of our day is spent talking to people or looking through old paper records. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it’s how we’ve always done things here. We just focus on our daily tasks.
