Out here in Turkman Gate Main Bazar, everything moves fast. Our shop is at 2199, and it has been Ghulam Nabi & Sons for as long as I can remember. It’s a family thing, passed down, and we just keep the doors open. The Main Bazar is always full of smells from the food stalls and the sound of rickshaws clicking by. We don't have a website or anything like that because most of our people just walk in. The space at 2199 isn't huge, but we've squeezed in everything we need over the years. You have to step over a few things to get to the back desk. It’s dusty, sure, but that’s just part of being in this area. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or bright paint. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun and the rain, but it still says the name clearly enough. Most of the day is spent talking to customers who have been coming here since they were kids. We know their names and their fathers' names. It’s a community. When the prayer calls start from the nearby mosque, things slow down for a minute, and then it gets busy again. We don't try to act like a big company. We are just a shop in the bazaar where people come when they need something specific. It’s been that way for years and likely won't change much soon. We stay here doing the same work.
