Gautam Telecom & Megazine is situated at Mehrauli Andheri Mode 1823/8. We deal with a bit of everything here. On one side, we have stacks of magazines and daily newspapers that arrive early in the morning when it’s still quiet. On the other side, we handle telecom stuff like SIM cards, mobile recharges, and small phone accessories. The shop is quite packed because we try to fit a lot into a small area. Mehrauli is a busy part of town, so we get a lot of people stopping by while they are commuting. It’s common to see people leaning over the counter to ask for the latest issue of a film magazine or to get their balance topped up. The shelves are a bit cluttered with wire chargers, earphones, and piles of printed matter. Sometimes the magazines get a bit bent if we’re not careful with the stacking. We don’t have much space to move around, but it works for what we do. In the afternoons, it can get quite warm inside, so we usually have a small fan going. We’ve been here for a while, so we know the newspaper delivery guys and the regular customers who come for their monthly subscriptions. It’s a basic neighborhood stall that provides the things people need on the go. There’s no big staff, just us managing the counter and the stock every day.
