Gaurav Telecom is our small shop in the Bhardwaj Complex at number 5, right here in Nangloi. It’s a busy little spot where we sell mobile recharges and those scratch cards that some people still like to use. The shop is filled with various phone cases, mostly the colorful ones that the younger kids want for their new devices. We’ve got a small glass counter where we show the latest budget phones we have in stock. It’s usually just me here, though sometimes a friend drops by and we sit on the stools talking about the neighborhood news. The walls are covered with posters for different data plans that change every other month. We do some basic repairs too, like changing a battery or fixing a charging port that’s got some lint or dust stuck in it. It’s not a huge place, so if three or four people come in at once, it feels very full. We have a small TV in the corner that’s usually on a news channel with the volume turned down low. The floor gets a bit muddy when it rains outside in Nangloi, but we try to sweep it when we get a spare moment. We’re not part of some big chain or anything, just a local shop trying to help people stay connected. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a small lamp to see what we're doing. It’s a simple setup, nothing fancy, just work every day from morning until the market shuts down at night.
