Gandhi Communication

Down on Rithala Jagdamba Road at 290 B/17 things are a bit different than the main city markets. Gandhi Communication is just a regular shop on a busy stretch of road where the trucks and rickshaws are always passing by. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the street so we are constantly cleaning the glass display cases. Inside we have the usual stuff for phones and some chairs that have seen better days. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint but we are too busy to deal with that right now. Most of the day is spent handling small sim cards or fixing up connections for the neighbors who drop by. It is a simple setup at 290 B/17 and we do not try to make it look like something it is not. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise but it keeps the air moving while we work. Sometimes we just sit on the bench outside when the shop is quiet and watch the traffic go toward the metro station. People from the nearby houses come in to talk more than they come in to buy things sometimes and we do not mind that. We have been on Jagdamba Road long enough that we know most of the faces. It is just a steady way of living and working in this part of Rithala without any big fuss or extra noise.
